Begoña farré torras
Begoña Farré Torras completed a PhD in Art History (2020) at FCSH, Universidade NOVA de Lisboa with a thesis on the reception of medieval art in modernist painting. Her postdoctoral research focuses on 20th century mural painting in Spain and Portugal and explores its European and Latin American connections. She is currently part of the funded research project PIM: Iberian Modernisms and the Primitivist Imaginary (PTDC/ART-HIS/29837/2017) in which she is studying the primitivist dimension of mural art production in Spain, with a focus on the Barcelona art scene. She is a member of RIHA Journal’s Local Editorial Team for Portugal.
