NOEMI DE HARO GARCÍA is ‘Ramón y Cajal’ Research Fellow in Art History at the Universidad Autónoma de Madrid (UAM). Her research focuses on the relationship between politics, art, visual culture and art history since the Cold War period, especially in the case of Spain. She is a member of the UAM research group DeVisiones (Discursos, genealogías y prácticas en la creación visual contemporánea) and is the principal investigator of the research project Long Exposure: The Narratives of Spanish Contemporary Art for ‘Wide Audiences’ (HAR2015–67059-P, MINECO-FEDER). She has published her work in books and in journals such as Archivo Español de Arte, Goya, the Journal of Art History and the Journal of Art Historiography. She is the author of the monograph Grabadores contra el franquismo (CSIC, 2010) and one of the editors of the collective volumes Art, Global Maoism and the Chinese Cultural Revolution (Manchester University Press, 2020) and Making Art History in Europe After 1945 (Routledge, forthcoming).
